Why do we do what we do? We get trapped in cycles and behaviors, and the business of it all, and it is hard to escape. We want to do better, we question what we are doing, but the rat race keeps us playing the game. Break free. Evolve. We all can do better and have more fun and better horse-human relationships, but we have to set boundaries with the trainers and coaches, and barns that we have to exist in. My books are all about getting outside the comfort zone, learning about positive reinforcement, and living in the real world. I write in a fun, casual, easy-to-digest manner. Being around horses is meant to spark joy and that childish glee we all have inside. My books are all about that. Let go of expectation, and ribbons and learnt to have fun again and to build a real relationship with your equine partner. I have been in the industry for over 30 years. I have seen trends come and go, and I have seen barns come and go. I am still here. My stable is a place where people and horses come to let go, unwind, and breathe. We ride, too, but the horses’ needs come first. I teach riding, but again, the horses’ needs come first. I am here because I love horses, always have, and that is why horses come first.
