Pearl, the Wonder Horse

Do you know a child in daycare, preschool, or kindergarten who loves horse stories? Maybe you know a child who has attention challenges and who has difficulty sitting still long enough to listen to an entire book? Pearl, the Wonder Horse, is a read-aloud story written especially for these children.

The horse stood by herself. Her head was low; almost touching the ground. She was sad. Her lower lip hung down and her eyes were closed. She felt forgotten and alone. The woman hoped that someday the two of them would be good friends. This is the story of a horse that needed a new home and a woman who needed a riding horse. Could they form a connection that would make them both happy?

Pearl, the Wonder Horse, is part of the Farm Stories for Wigglers series. It is the shortened version of the book, White Lightning, also written by Jan Crossen.
